ABOUT US

History of our school

We began our journey in 2010 with just 56 children, focusing on Nursery, Kindergarten, and Pre-Primary. Since then, we have grown significantly, eventually adding a Primary section. Our student population has increased, and we now proudly serve more than 800 pupils.

Lessons

Our teachers develop children's skills.

Football Club

Our P1-P7 football club, divided by age, practices weekly. We arrange inter-school and internal competitions. A separate infant football club nurtures nursery talent.

Art and Craft

During Uganda's COVID-19 lockdowns, hands-on skills like crafting became vital. Maria Assumpta nurtures these skills, teaching students crocheting, knitting, and various crafts.

Swimming Club

Two pools, one for upper and one for lower primary/nursery, provide scheduled swimming lessons. Pupils enjoy and develop essential skills, enhancing their physical development and water safety.

School History

From 56 pupils in 2010, Maria Assumpta now boasts 800+ students, offering nursery to primary education. Spacious classrooms, a dining hall, and separate dormitories ensure a nurturing environment.

Transport

Safe, reliable school vans transport nursery pupils Monday-Friday, preventing accidents, weather exposure, and abduction. Morning pickup is 6:00-8:00 AM, evening drop-off 3:20-5:00 PM.

Sick Bay

Our sick bay provides expert first aid and comprehensive care for mild illnesses, ensuring positive outcomes. Complex cases receive prompt referral for specialized treatment. We meticulously manage home treatments and diligently follow up to ensure complete recovery.

At Maria Assumpta Nursery and Primary School, we prioritize holistic skill development. Music, Dance, Sports, Art and Crafts, Swimming and Technology are integral to our curriculum, fostering creativity, physical fitness, teamwork, and digital literacy. These activities nurture well-rounded pupils, equipping them with essential skills for future success.
